Two Architecture Students Among Six Recipients of 2016 ACC Creativity and Innovation Fellowships

Architecture students Ge Zhou and Kristen Long are among six Virginia Tech undergraduate students who have been awarded 2016 ACC Creativity and Innovation Fellowships. Ge’s project is entitled, “Probing medical architecture: A study of human-centered design,” and her faculty mentor is Prof. Aki Ishida. Kristen’s project is entitled, “The architectural role of a door,” and her faculty mentor is Prof. Hans Rott.
Selected Virginia Tech scholars receive up to a $2,000 grant to pursue undergraduate research and creative scholarship opportunities this summer that can be used as a stipend and/or to offset expenses such as supplies, travel, and use of specialized research services.
