Prof. Susan Piedmont-Palladino has been named Director of the Washington-Alexandria Architecture Center. A member of the Virginia Tech faculty since 1991, she previously held teaching positions at the Catholic University of America and the University of Maryland. She has been a consulting curator at the National Building Museum since 2003. She has also served as the Director of the new Urban Design Concentration within the Master of Science in Architecture degree program. Prof. Piedmont-Palladino succeeds Prof. Jaan Holt, who stepped down as Director of the WAAC in January, after serving in that position for 32 years.
