Breitschmid’s work to be displayed at Triennale of Architecture in Lisbon

The Trienal de Arquitectura de Lisbon – the 2019 edition will convene under the title of The Poetics of Reason – is held between October 3 and December 2, 2019. The work of Virginia Tech architecture professor Markus Breitschmid will be displayed and discussed in a Triennale-forum, as part of a part of an exhibition and a multi-day discussion forum, from October 24 to 27.
The exhibition consists of six large panels onto which the entire book chapter “Construction” is displayed. “Construction” is a chapter from the bestselling-book Non-Referential Architecture, written by Markus Breitschmid and Swiss architect Valerio Olgiati, first published in 2018.
The 2019 Triennale of Architecture is a major international architecture event sponsored the country of Portugal, the Creative Europe Programme of the European Union, and various international cultural organisations. Among other sponsors, it is funded by the Graham Foundation, Pro Helvetia, and numerous international companies. It is supported by numerous international television channels, newspapers, and journals. It is hosted under the patronage of His Excellency the President of the Portuguese Republic, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa.
