October 14, 2018
Kevin Jones, AIA, Assistant Professor at Virginia Tech, and Erin Webb, AIA, Senior Project Manager at 3north, have been recognized with the Virginia Emerging Professional Award. This award, presented at the Visions for Architecture gala, is intended to honor emerging leaders in Virginia for their contributions to the profession of design, discourse, education, mentorship, research, service to the profession, or service to the community.
Within his almost fifteen year career, Kevin has demonstrated his leadership skills as a member of the AIA Blue Ridge leadership team and as the faculty co-leader of the Malawi Studio. In the classroom, he strives to introduce his students at Virginia Tech to real-world scenarios and community focused experiential learning opportunities.
At 3north, Erin (B.Arch., Virginia Tech, 2005) directs the Residential Studio, and is greatly involved with the restoration and landscape transformation of notable historical landmarks. Outside of the office, as a longtime facilitator of 3north’s summer high school interning program, Erin has been engaged with student mentoring and community service and was head of 3north’s fundraiser to support local families, and much more.
