Throughout the day on Wed., Mar. 23rd, students in Virginia Tech’s architecture and music programs collaborated in Unlikely Ensembles: Design-Build Experiments in Architecture & Music on the Virginia Tech Drillfield.

Musical performers included Cassie Hanson (Clarinet), Nathan Folta (Violin), Katie Crawford (Flute), Alex Fowler (Cello), the Virginia Tech Chamber Woodwind Ensemble, the Virginia Tech Chamber Brass Ensemble, and the Mozart String Quartet.
Undergraduate architecture students in Kevin Jones’s third-year studio — Alyssa Brink, Lindsey Blum, Joseph Bolinger, Daniel Castellano, Derek Ho, Si Yue Huang, Peyton Bright, Shannon Cain, Al Fajardo, Kenneth Johnston, Tyler Peterson, Linjie Wang, Mila Baler, Claire Gagnon, Princess Holloman, Breanna LaTondre, Meghan Laverty, Emily String — designed and constructed physical installations providing places for these performances.
