Alumni Receive AIA Young Architects Awards
April 27, 2017
Luis Vélez-Alvarez, AIA | R. Corey Clayborne, AIA |
Two A+D alumni, Luis Vélez-Alvarez (M.Arch. '05) and R. Corey Clayborne (B.Arch. '04), are among only 14 architects nationwide to receive the American Institute of Architects’ 2017 Young Architects Award. This award, now in its 24th year, honors professionals who have been licensed 10 years or fewer, regardless of their age, who have shown exceptional leadership and have made significant contributions to the profession early in their careers. The Young Architects Award recipients will be honored at the 2017 AIA Conference on Architecture in Orlando. (More info)
Last year, Architecture alumna Erin Carraher (B.Arch. '02) also received the AIA Young Architects Award.
