Architecture Alumnus Receives 2018 ARCC New Researcher Award

Virginia Tech Architecture alumnus Ahmed Ali (M.Arch., 2004; Ph.D. in Architecture & Design Research, 2012) has received the Architecture Research Centers Consortium (ARCC) 2018 New Researcher Award. Ahmed is currently on the faculty of the College of Architecture at Texas A&M University, where he is the founder and director of the Resource-Based Design Research Lab.
The ARCC New Researcher Award is intended to acknowledge and reward emerging figures in architectural and environmental design research that demonstrate innovation in thinking, dedication in scholarship, contributions to the academy, and leadership within architectural and environmental design research.
