This week the 4th Year Students who participated in last semester’s Openlab: Boston program showcased their work in the lobby. The OpenLab Studio is a semester-long integrative studio where students are embedded in the office of AIA Award-winning firm Payette in the heart of Boston’s downtown.

Split into pairs, students were challenged with 7 unique locations in the historic North End of Boston. Each pair wrestled with tight spatial constraints and their own design aspirations in these infill sites. The students explored and studied their buildings through a wide range of scales utilizing Payette’s in-house Modelmaking and Fabrication facilities.
