Alumni Spotlight: PlayLab, Inc.

PlayLab, Inc., is a creative studio founded in 2009, led by VT alumni Archie Lee Coates IV and Jeffrey Franklin. Currently based in Los Angeles, CA, PlayLab explores diverse themes using art, architecture, and graphic design to ignite ideas for both themselves and others. In collaboration with American Express, PlayLab undertook the role of Spatial Design and Artist Curation for an interactive gallery titled "Play by American Express Platinum" at Miami Art Week. This immersive experience was described as a "larger than life platinum dollhouse scattered with playground sculptures made for adults" and featured limited edition toys by @enyleeparker, @serbanserban, @kumkumfernando, and @surin.kim, with captivating visuals captured by @seandavidson.
