On December 4th, Prof. Ben Pennell's second-year students showcased the culmination of their semester's work. Throughout the term, the students were tasked with crafting unique apartment interiors, each revolving around personally chosen themes. Examples included an apartment designed as an oversized couch, one featuring a living room with a spacious swimming pool, and another resembling a luxurious bathhouse. Following this, in pairs, they collaborated to transform six chosen apartments into a unified townhouse-like cluster. This project challenged the students to grapple with a fundamental architectural dilemma: how to preserve individuality within each unit while simultaneously crafting a cohesive and integrated design for the entire structure.
