The Deployable Structures course taught by Prof. Virginia Melnyk, was an exploration of movable, portable, and transformable architectural systems. Students tested design principles, concepts, and practical applications of these dynamic structures. Through a combination of theoretical study, hands-on projects, and collaborative work, students gained experience in prototyping and refining these innovative designs. The results of the course are four projects exploring origami, scissor structures.

Prof. Virginia Melnyk will also be teaching The Tensile Textiles course this spring.
