The School of Architecture once again hosted Inside Design, an immersive student summer program in an invigorating university setting. This one-week program aimed to introduce high school students to the compelling world of design through both hands-on practices and interactions with industry professionals.

This Summer, the Foundation Chair Chris Pritchett brought in architects and interior designers from Baskervill @baskervilldesign, a Richmond-based architecture firm, to serve as the camp’s instructors. Throughout the week, Inside Design was able to give its students an insight into how design is not solely an individual activity, but also highly collaborative in nature. With the help of their Baskervill instructors and Virginia Tech teaching assistants, the student’s projects evolved from personal studies into a collaborative city.
