In pursuit of advancing the education and experience of the future workforce, both the Virginia Tech School of Architecture and the Myers-Lawson School of Construction excitedly held a reception yesterday evening announcing the grand opening of the Trimble Technology Lab! Located in Burchard Hall, this cutting-edge, interdisciplinary lab houses state-of-the-art technology which will be invaluable to students studying architecture, building construction, and construction engineering. It is the culmination of years of research collaboration between Virginia Tech and Trimble in various fields.

Lu Liu, the dean of the College of Architecture, Arts, and Design expressed, "Through partnering with Trimble, we will be able to provide students with cutting-edge tools and training to ensure that they graduate at the technological forefront of their respective creative disciplines." Furthermore, he emphasized, “While our faculty are regular users of Trimble products already, the company’s support of our college will accelerate faculty research and creative engagement in industry through its robust support network and professional development opportunities.”
