Associate Professor Edward Becker Receives Fulbright Fellowship

Congratulations to Edward Becker, SAFA, associate professor in the Virginia Tech School of Architecture on receiving a Fulbright Fellowship! His project will examine how the sustainable use of mass timber in multistory and multifamily housing can be accelerated in Finland to help lower embodied carbon in the built environment. He also aims to identify design and development practices that could be applied into American building practices. This work represents an important step toward more sustainable, scalable housing solutions worldwide, and we look forward to seeing what’s next in his research!
