Last weekend, 25 students belonging to Ben Pennell's second-year and thesis studios, took a trip to Charlottesville to visit the historic Jefferson Campus of UVA along with his home of Monticello. The trip was bookended on the front end with a rousing architectural-performance-demonstration of the "Campbell Hall / East End" by famed practitioner WG Clark; and then concluded on the back half with a tour of Jefferson's lesser known, private dwelling, known colloquially as "Poplar Forest." Great food and fellowship was enjoyed by all.
