Visiting Professors of Practice Jessica Hernandez and Edgar Garcia’s Fall 2024 Lab Project

This week’s exhibition showcases the Fall 2024 work completed in the Architecture Foundation Labs. Visiting Professors of Practice Jessica Hernandez and Edgar Garcia developed distinct lab prompts but collaborated to teach their students digital design thinking. Through a didactic process, students engaged with digital fabrication(Robot Arm, laser cutting, and 3D printing), 3D design tools (Rhino), and conceptual taxonomies to explore their imagined spaces. Jessica Hernandez's students focused on sacred landscapes and architectural objects, while Edgar Garcia's students explored the Mystery Box. Today marked the celebration of the exhibit's opening, featuring analysis and insights shared by both professors and students.
