This Thursday at 2pm in Hancock 100, Chicago architect Carl D’Silva will be conducting his lecture, “Lost Danish Treasure: A Virtual Interdisciplinary Design”.

An award winning architect based in Chicago, D’Silva. is a principal at Perkins&Will. For the last 30 years, he has helped deliver large, complex projects around the world. He began collecting and researching Danish Modern furniture in 2011. 

D’Silva will discuss his interdisciplinary design research and the resulting book. “Lost Danish Treasure interweaves two stories: the history of Finn Juhl’s iconic Chieftain Chair and a long-forgetten painting that preceded it, and the individual connections to his design by a small group of collector researchers.
