Last month, Associate Professor Paola Zellner Bassett’s third-year studio presented their design progress for the new International Archive of Women in Architecture (IAWA) in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The project, a new building for the IAWA, will house and preserve the collections of South American women in architecture, and will provide spaces for research and spaces for outreach. Visiting alumna Michelle Sterling ‘23, winner of “Thesis Award for Refining Methodologies,” architectural designer and photographer at Gronning Architects, and Nick Zastrow ‘12, Senior Architect, Team Lead with HH Architecture, were present as reviewers for this progress pin-up. Students studied their projects through model making and comprehensive research on the site and context of the project.
