DXA Studio

DXA Studio is a New York City-based architecture firm whose work masterfully and consistently strikes a balance between seemingly opposing forces. DXA Studio’s projects combine the art with the science of architecture, design innovation with technical excellence, contemporary considerations with a sense of craft, and a modern outlook with a respect for history and context.

The firm was founded in 2011 by Jordan Rogove and Wayne Norbeck, with a focus on authenticity, sustainability and originality in all projects and a belief in the power of architecture to positively influence the lives of all that engage with it.

Responsibilities:
• Perform basic segments of architectural or interior design projects
• Ability to multi-task while maintaining a high level of detail and accuracy
• Assist in general preparation of design and construction documents, including models
• Conduct research for the project team or revise drawings
• Research building codes and standards
• Develop 3D conceptual designs
• Research the different types of building materials, lighting fixtures and other products
• Provide administrative support for any task required to keep the office running smoothly (i.e. ordering office supplies, ordering material, shipping etc.)

Requirements:
• Enrolled as a third-year student at Virginia Tech’s School of Architecture
• Preferred experience with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office
• Possesses basic computer skills and can learn new applications
• Excellent verbal, graphic, and communication skills
• Initiative-taking, courteous and approachable
• Must be proactive and able to work independently
• Familiar with Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Revit, and AutoCAD
