We are seeking creative Design Interns who share our commitment to design excellence, sustainability, and innovation to participate in the Virginia Tech W_Internship Program at Clark Nexsen in our Virginia Beach, VA office. The program will provide students in an immersive experience within an architectural office environment, building knowledge, skills, and capabilities for future success in the design industry.

You will join a team of architects and designers, working in a multi-discipline, collaborative, and engaging team-based environment that draws on multiple perspectives in the pursuit of innovative solutions. The ideal candidate for this position will be energetic and passionate about design, committed to quality, able to work independently and in a team environment, and able to prioritize work.

During your time in the Virginia Tech W_Internship Program you will have the opportunity to:

•Collaborate with project teams during project design phases including programming, concept development, schematic design, design development, and construction documentation
•Develop design sketches, renderings, models, graphics, presentation materials, analysis, and construction drawings and schedules
•Witness the communication between a wide variety of stakeholders including clients, owners, users, team members, consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies to achieve overall project objectives
•Help deliver great projects with a sense of energy, passion and personal responsibility
