Mehraneh Davari

Ph.D. Student

I am pursuing a PhD in Architecture and Design Research at the Washington Alexandria Architecture Center. I hold master's degrees in Architecture and Information Technology (IT) Engineering and have worked in architectural firms and a telecommunication company for several years. My current research focuses on the cultural and social aspects of Ian McHarg's ecological planning, specifically emphasizing his Pardisan Environmental Park project in Tehran, Iran. My research interests include sustainability, architecture and senses, urban ecology, community engagement, AI and healthcare, and Transit-Oriented Development (TOD). Outside work, I enjoy spending time with friends, reading books, painting with watercolors, sketching landscapes, shopping, and traveling to explore worldwide cultures and customs.
