Frank Weiner
Professor Frank H. Weiner has taught in the School of Architecture at Virginia Tech since 1987 and served in a variety of administrative positions including Head of the Department of Architecture and founding Interim Director of the newly formed School of Architecture + Design established in 2003. His scholarship on the relationship between education, architecture and philosophy has been presented at conferences around the world and has been widely published. He is the recipient of the 2003-2005 EAAE prize for his essay entitled “Five Critical Horizons for Architectural Educators in an Age of Distraction”. Prof. Weiner is the founding curator of the Lucy and Olivio Ferrari Archive at Virginia Tech established in 2017. He is a graduate of Tulane University, Columbia University and is a registered architect.
