Scott Gartner
I received my BArch from the College of Architecture, University of Houston in 1983. In Houston, I practiced in the firms of William F. Stern, Robert Griffin, and Skidmore, Owings, and Merrill. My first teaching position was as a Visiting Instructor at Virginia Tech in 1984-1985 before teaching as a Visiting Instructor (1985-1987) and Visiting Associate Professor (1988-1989) at the University of Houston. I received a Masters in Design Studies from the Graduate School of Design, Harvard University in 1988. I began teaching at Virginia Tech in 1989.
