Virginia Ellyn Melnyk

Foundations Fellow

Virginia Melnyk's research interests consist of material design,  textiles, tensegrity, and architecture. Her wide range of interests in digital Fabrication, computational design, craft and feminist culture are integrated into her research practice. She explores applications for temporary light-weight structures within a contemporary architectural context. Her work is both material design as well as digital design and fabrication, balancing between the digital and craft.
