David Lever
David Lever has taught urban design at the Washington-Alexandria Architecture Center since 1993. His courses include the theory of urban design as well as seminars on city form in its relation to political culture, the public realm, the environment, and urban symbolism. His courses are focused on the application of urban design paradigms to the contemporary condition of low-density metropolitan dispersal. Dr. Lever has been principal of Educational Facilities Planning LLC since 2016, after serving 13 years as Executive Director of the Maryland Public School Construction Program and six years as Director of Planning and Architectural Services for Prince George's County Public Schools.
