Camden Whitehead, an alumnus of the School of Architecture and Design, a professor of interior design, and the Director of the mOb Studio at Virginia Commonwealth University, recently visited Virginia Tech to speak to Professor Donna Dunay’s Building Cities class. The following morning, with layers of his work displayed on the conference room table, he talked to students and faculty about his practice of "play" in watercolors, Design, and creating a thesis.

VCU Arts’ middle Of broad (mOb) Studio is an experimental design lab within the Center for the Creative Economy, uniting the departments of Graphic Design, Fashion Design and Interior Design to create a hotspot for the school’s up-and-coming designers. Some of these projects include developing bridge concepts for Interstate 95, signage for the James River Park System, a conceptually reimagined Monument Avenue in Richmond and more.
