What if concrete could help build a more sustainable future?

That question guided a recent discussion in Professor Jim Jones' M.Arch 2 lab, where students met with Dawn Decker, Regional Director for the Precast Concrete Institute; David Orndorff, Vice President of the Shockey Precast Group; and Professor Sean McGinnis, Director of Virginia Tech's Green Engineering Program, to consider the environmental potential of one of architecture's most familiar materials.
